WHAT IS FAITH-BASED RECOVERY?
Definition of faith /fāTH/ noun. – complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

Christianity and the idea of religion can be a polarizing topic for people on all walks of life. It can seem condemning, or lacking truth, or intimidating. However, the idea behind Faith-Based Recovery is this- that God is bigger than the problems and addiction to which you are facing, and by your faith and trust in Him, you can overcome your addiction and live a fulfilling and free life.

The Christian faith as a whole hinges on the idea that God sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you, and for all of your sins. It’s in that sacrifice and shift of blame that you can live, knowing that your sins are forgiven and that God offers you the freedom to live a life of goodness.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22

These fruits of the Spirit are yours with a life rooted in God- even addiction can’t separate you from those fruits if you put your faith in God.
